San Martin of the Andes was based the 4 of February of 1898 to borders of the Lacar lake, was a typical mountain town until few decades back, soon, the height of the tourism transformed it into a tourist city that conserves its original architectonic style.

San Martin of the Andes has an ample range of hotels and lodgings, all type of services to the tourist, an international center of ski in the Chapelco hill (to the winter), and many circuits and strolls to make in the day, or in boat, car or walking (for the summer season).
