Cachi

The town of Cachi is to 157 km of the city of Salta and to 165 km of Cafayate, its origin is previous to the Spanish domination where they inhabited the Chicoanas. The population rises in the union of the rivers Cachi and Calchaquí in the Calchaquí Valley, to 2280 m.s on the level of the sea. Conserve old aligned large houses of colonial style on narrow streets with high paths.

In front of the main seat is its Church of century XVIII and the Anthropological Museum.

From Cachi sites of interest can be visited like: Cachi Inside, torrentosos place of beautiful landscapes and streams; the places the Pailas and the Paya, where are rest of pre-Columbian civilizations, the Hill of the Virgin, Ascent to the Snowed one of Cachi with baqueano guide, the Poma, Lagoon Brealito, Seclantás, Broken of the Colte (way of the craftsmen).
